Dr. Serena Koh Siew Lin

Biography

Associate Professor at the Alice Lee Centre Nursing Studies, Serena Koh is the Programme Director for Year 2 undergraduate students. Her teaching areas include professionalism, ethics law, women's and children's health, evidence-based practice, leadership management, and interprofessional education. Koh has extensive experience in quality improvement and risk management in nursing, developing national quality assurance frameworks and patient safety strategies during her tenure as Deputy Director of the Clinical Quality & Safety Division at the Ministry of Health in Singapore. She earned her PhD in Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences from the University of Melbourne and holds a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Nursing from King’s College, University of London. Her research focuses on interprofessional education, patient safety, quality improvement in evidence-based practice, and health for women and children. With a strong commitment to enhancing care quality and safety for patients, Koh has coordinated numerous research initiatives aimed at improving nursing care outcomes.
