Jing Pan is an Assistant Professor at the Smeal College of Business, specializing in Accounting. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Utah in 2018. With a strong foundational background, he holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Virginia Tech (2012), a Master’s degree in Economics from SUNY Albany (2010), and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance Mathematics from Sun Yat-Sen University (2006). His teaching focuses on advanced financial accounting principles and practices, ensuring students gain a comprehensive understanding of accounting issues related to cash, receivables, inventory, and more. Additionally, he emphasizes the importance of effective written communication skills in accounting. Pan is committed to helping students evaluate alternative accounting methods and apply the generally accepted accounting principles in various asset areas. His academic journey reflects a dedication to fostering a deep understanding of financial reporting and the accounting cycle among his students.
