Marjorie Lipsham is a Senior Lecturer in Hauora at Massey University. She holds a PhD in Philosophy from Massey University, obtained in 2022, as well as a Master of Philosophy (2017) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (2015) from the same institution. Her research focuses on Indigenous methodologies and their application in contemporary Māori contexts. Dr. Lipsham is currently involved in various research projects, including leading the Rau Tauwhiro initiative, which examines contemporary Māori realities. She has published extensively in notable academic journals, including her contributions to the MAI Journal and Aotearoa New Zealand Social Work. With an emphasis on methodological approaches grounded in Māori perspectives, her work aims to foster understanding and wellbeing within Indigenous communities. Dr. Lipsham serves as a doctoral co-supervisor, mentoring students in their research journeys and advancing academic discourse in her fields of expertise.
