Biography

Dr. Holden H. Wu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiological Sciences at UCLA Health Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. His research focuses on the development of rapid and robust quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques aimed at enhancing diagnosis and treatment in oncological and cardiovascular applications. His lab specializes in technical innovations related to MRI pulse sequence design, accelerated data acquisition, and image reconstruction algorithms essential for quantitative data analysis. The advanced MRI techniques Dr. Wu develops are instrumental in improving early disease detection, characterizing disease states, facilitating treatment planning, guiding interventions, and assessing treatment efficacy. His impactful research is reflected in several highlighted publications, including work on patient-specific 3D-printed molds for aligning in vivo MRI with histopathology in prostate cancer research.
