Biography

Yanyuan Wu's research primarily focuses on identifying specific cellular and molecular markers for the early detection, prevention, and management of breast cancer, particularly in underserved populations. He engages in targeted therapy research, studying the oncogenic roles of AKT transcription factors and their interaction with Snail and Slug in HER2/neu overexpressing breast tumors. Wu has authored several significant publications, highlighting the clinical significance of biomarkers in breast cancer, including studies on the prognostic value of plasma HER-2/neu levels in African American and Hispanic women. His work contributes to a better understanding of the molecular pathology of breast cancer and aims to improve treatment outcomes for diverse patient populations.
