Nihal Cizmecioglu is a PhD student at the Middle East Technical University (METU). Her research focuses on developmental epigenetics, investigating the mechanisms of gene regulation during development. Nihal has received the TÜBA-GEBİP Award for Young Scientists from the Turkish Academy of Sciences, recognizing her contributions to the field. She is actively involved in research at the Buratowski Lab, collaborating with leading researchers to further understand the complexities of gene expression and epigenetic regulation.
