Biography

Diane Turnshek is a Special Lecturer in the Department of Physics at Carnegie Mellon University. She earned her M.S. in Astronomy from the University of Arizona in 1981 and her B.Sc. in Astronomy from Villanova University in 1977. Diane has significant experience in academia, having served as an Adjunct Faculty member at St. Vincent College and as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. With a robust background in astrophysical research, she has contributed to various scholarly publications, including works focused on night lights and remote sensing, as well as notable studies on gravitational lensing and spectral analysis of cool stars. Turnshek's research interests encompass Astronomy and Astrophysics, with a focus on astronomical observations and analyses.
