Biography

Catherine Véronneau is an Assistant Professor at the Université de Sherbrooke in the Faculty of Engineering within the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Her research focuses on Human-Robot Interaction, particularly in the areas of Robotics and Wearable Robotics. With an impressive academic background, she holds a Doctorate in Human-Robot Interaction and Mechanical Engineering from Université de Sherbrooke, as well as a Master's degree that concentrated on Exoskeletons and Actuators. Throughout her career, Catherine has been recognized with various prestigious awards, including the Canadian Governor General's Academic Gold Medal and multiple scholarships from the Natural Sciences Engineering Research Council of Canada. Her commitment to advancing the fields of robotics and engineering extends beyond research; she is also actively involved in teaching and guiding students in various courses aimed at fostering education in mechanical engineering and robotics. Catherine continues to contribute to innovative projects aimed at enhancing technology for assistive purposes, particularly through the development of advanced robotic limbs.
