Biography

George Kroumpouzos is a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology with extensive experience in both clinical practice and academia. He held faculty appointments at Brown University and Harvard Medical Schools and previously served as a Professor of Dermatology at Jundiaí Medical School in São Paulo, Brazil. He is the Founder and Medical Director of GK Dermatology, a comprehensive facility specializing in dermatology, laser, and cosmetic surgery located in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Dr. Kroumpouzos earned his MD from Athens University School of Medicine in Greece and completed his Ph.D. with honors from the same institution. His professional training includes prestigious research fellowships in skin biology and molecular genetics at the Free University of Berlin and the National Cancer Institute of NIH. Notably, he has published over 175 peer-reviewed articles, contributed to 40 chapters, and edited several texts, including the definitive "Text Atlas of Obstetric Dermatology." As an active contributor to the field, he serves on editorial boards for prominent dermatology journals and has received numerous awards for his contributions to teaching and research in dermatology. His research interests encompass aesthetic and procedural dermatology, gynecologic and obstetric dermatology, psychocutaneous disease, and pigmentation disorders.
