Biography

Russell R. Reid, MD, PhD, is a highly skilled surgeon specializing in pediatric plastic surgery, with particular expertise in craniofacial and maxillofacial surgery. His work includes surgeries of the face, jaw, palate, and skull. An accomplished author, Dr. Reid has published numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles on various topics related to craniofacial surgery techniques and wound healing. His research focuses on the regeneration of bone and the repair of complex craniofacial defects, along with the biology of skull and facial sutures and genetic expression in craniofacial development. He investigates bone substitutes and the survival of bone-cartilage grafts.
