Dr. Kent Stevens

Biography

Kent A. Stevens is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and an attending surgeon at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona and completed his residency in general surgery there as well. Stevens further specialized through fellowships in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, and also holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His academic pursuits focus on enhancing surgical trauma care, particularly in resource-poor settings, contributing valuable insights to global health initiatives. He is also the Chief of the Division of Acute Care Surgery and the Director of Adult Trauma Services at the institution.
