Tabitha Kanogo's current book project explores the diverse situations of child and youth endangerment in colonial and contemporary Africa, with a specific focus on Kenya. Her ongoing research, titled 'Portrait Town, 1904 - 1978', examines the social and political history of Nakuru, recognized as a political hotbed and social microcosm in Kenya. She has expertise in various research areas including colonialism, nationalism, women and gender studies, childhood and youth issues, activism, environmental conservation, and agricultural labor history, alongside youth activism.
