Biography

Dr. Benjamin P. Brown is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and serves as Chief of the Complex Family Planning Section at the Women & Infants Hospital in Rhode Island. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, with a specialization in complex family planning. His clinical focus includes high-acuity obstetrics, complex abortion and contraception care, as well as managing early pregnancy complications such as ectopic gestation. He enjoys mentoring medical students and residents and has expertise in statistics and clinical medical ethics. His research interests center on family planning policy analysis, employing quantitative methods through an ethical lens. Dr. Brown is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and has received numerous awards recognizing his contributions to medical education and resident training.
