David G. Hovord is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan Medical School. He specializes in multispecialty anesthesia and is the Adult Program Director as well as the Assistant Medical Director of Anesthesiology. Dr. Hovord received his MB BCH from the University of Cambridge in 2003. His research interests include environmental patient safety outcomes and the development of the Green Anesthesia Initiative (GAIA), which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with inhaled anesthetics. He has published research on various aspects of anesthesiology, with a focus on automated end-tidal control and its implications for surgical centers.
