Elizabeth Olsen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University and earned her M.D. from the same institution. Dr. Olsen completed her General Psychiatry Residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the Warren Alpert Medical School, where she served as Co-Chief Resident and was awarded the Haffenreffer House Staff Excellence Award. She has participated in a National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)-funded research training program, focusing on biopsychosocial factors affecting health outcomes for court-involved youths and the interplay with familial factors, substance abuse, and psychiatric symptoms. Additionally, Dr. Olsen completed a postdoctoral T32 Fellowship on Adolescent Young Adult Biobehavioral HIV Research. Her clinical roles include serving as an Associate Program Director for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and as a staff psychiatrist at the Bradley Hasbro Children's Research Center. Dr. Olsen has received several awards for her research achievements and is a member of multiple professional organizations in psychiatry.
