Biography

Dr. Gary Schiller is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at UCLA, specializing in Hematology and Oncology. He is the Director of the Hematological Malignancies/Stem Cell Transplantation Unit and has a primary focus on clinical research involving new drugs and therapies for hematologic malignancies. His work involves acute myeloid leukemia, chronic myelogenous leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma, and he has directed clinical trials that incorporate stem cell transplantation and high-dose chemotherapy. Dr. Schiller has participated in developing new therapeutics for chronic lymphocytic leukemia and has ongoing studies on various non-Hodgkin's lymphoma types. His clinical interests include bone marrow transplantation and the application of clinical trials aimed at improving treatment outcomes for patients with blood cancers. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he has published extensively on treatment strategies for high-risk leukemia patients and has contributed to significant research initiatives in hematology.
