Mary Bedikian serves as a Professor and Director of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program at Michigan State University College of Law, possessing over 28 years of extensive experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) across labor, commercial, construction, international, and employment sectors. In 1987, she pioneered interactive ADR courses in Michigan and has taught at various law schools throughout the state. Bedikian has also held adjunct professorships at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and Wayne State University Law School for more than a decade. Notably, she co-authored the practice books 'ADR: Michigan Pleading Practice, Volumes 8A & 8B' and 'Michigan Practice Series—ADR'. Over her career, she has mediated hundreds of cases since 1981 and participated in the special Court Appeals mediation panel starting in 1994. In recognition of her significant contributions to the field, she received the Distinguished Service Award from the ADR Section of the State Bar of Michigan in 1999. Bedikian holds a J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law, where she was also on the Moot Court & Trial Advocacy Board, and has instructed courses designed to enhance students' arbitration negotiation skills, focusing on real-world applications and processes.
