Neal Lucas Hitch is a designer, educator, and curator whose research focuses on radical participatory design, exploring the interplay between humans, environments, communities, and technologies. He is the co-founder of i/thee LLC, an internationally recognized firm involved in work that bridges and blurs the lines between sculpture, architecture, and landscape design. In 2024, Neal acted as the curator for the Bethel Woods Art Architecture Festival at the original site of the 1969 Woodstock festival. His experience extends internationally, having worked in cities such as Chicago and Tokyo with firms like Juan Gabriel Moreno Architects and Sou Fujimoto Architects. From 2020 to 2023, Neal served as a Visiting Lecturer at Texas Tech University. He has also been a resident at Oakes Creek Ranch and Astral Compound. Additionally, Neal has led design-build workshops at various institutions, including the Hello Wood Festival and Space Saloon. He holds a Master of Science in Design Technology from Cornell University, a Master of Architecture from Judson University, and studied at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in Bedford Square.
