Professor Candeub joined the MSU Law faculty in the fall of 2004 and also serves as the Director of the Intellectual Property, Information & Communications Law Program. He is affiliated with MSU's Institute of Public Utilities and has an impressive background in legal and policy advocacy. Before joining MSU, he served as an advisor to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and worked as a litigation associate at a Washington D.C. firm. He has held notable positions, including Deputy Assistant Secretary for Commerce in the Telecommunications and Information sector during the Trump administration. His scholarly work centers around law and regulation in communications, internet, and technology, with numerous articles and papers addressing critical legal controversies. Candeub's contributions have been recognized in various court decisions, including those of the U.S. Supreme Court. As an author, he has penned works for both scholarly journals and popular outlets like the Wall Street Journal. He is also a senior fellow at the Center for Renewing America, situated in Washington, D.C.
