Kevin R. Douglas is an Associate Professor at MSU College of Law, where he teaches courses in Business Enterprises, Business Ethics, and Mergers and Acquisitions. His research focuses on the moral principles that motivate business organization law and securities regulation. Before joining academia, Professor Douglas was a visiting assistant professor at Antonin Scalia Law School and worked in the corporate transactions practice group at a law firm in Dallas, Texas. He graduated with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Stanford Law School, where he deepened his expertise in legal issues surrounding business organizations. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Master of Business Administration from Florida A&M University. His teaching includes substantial coursework on Corporate Finance, covering principles of accounting, valuation, and the financial environment of companies. Douglas' courses emphasize the transactional aspects of mergers and acquisitions, statutory frameworks, and the intricacies of negotiation in business transactions, further enriched by simulated drafting exercises and real-world case studies.
