Biography

Veronica Valentine McNally serves as the Director of Trial Advocacy and Director of Externships at Michigan State University College of Law. She plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of legal professionals by teaching pretrial trial skills courses, focusing on hands-on experiences that empower students with the practical skills and confidence to excel in real-world challenges. McNally’s expertise extends beyond academia, as she has taught practicing lawyers in litigation through the National Institute of Advocacy and Michigan’s Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to legal excellence and ethics, having served on the State Bar of Michigan's Standing Committee on Character and Fitness from 2005 to 2013 and the Young Lawyers Executive Council from 2005 to 2007. Recognized as a Rising Star in Law & Politics for six consecutive years, she earned the Master Advocate Designation from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy in 2016. Additionally, McNally has been an advocate for public health, having been appointed by the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services to serve on the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices as a consumer representative.
