Lin-Feng Chen is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Illinois. He received his B.S. from Xiamen University in 1987, his M.S. from Peking Union Medical University in 1990, and his Ph.D. from Kyoto University in 1999. Chen completed his postdoctoral training at the Gladstone Institute of Immunology and Virology at the University of California, San Francisco from 1999 to 2003. His research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms behind cancer, infectious diseases, and metabolic disorders, particularly the role of NF-κB in immune responses and inflammation. His work has implications for developing therapeutic strategies against cancer and inflammatory diseases. Chen’s lab has identified Brd4 as a key regulator in these pathways, demonstrating its influence on immune response and its potential as a therapeutic target in treating cancer and inflammatory diseases. He has published extensively in this field, contributing critical insights into chromatin structure and gene regulation.
