Biography

Anuj C. Desai is the Volkman-Bascom Professor of Law at the University of Wisconsin Law School, specializing in various areas of law including Cyberlaw, Constitutional Law, and Statutory Interpretation. His academic journey includes a J.D. from the University of California Berkeley (Berkeley Law) and a Master's in International Affairs from Columbia University. He teaches a range of courses and currently serves as Chair of the Administrative Law Section of the Association of American Law Schools. Professor Desai's publications are featured in leading law reviews such as the Stanford Law Review and the Northwestern University Law Review. He has held visiting scholar and professor positions at esteemed institutions, including the Faculty of Law at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand and Johns Hopkins University-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies. In addition, he has experience as an administrative appellate judge and is a member of the American Law Institute. Before academia, he practiced law with a focus on First Amendment and copyright litigation in Seattle, Washington. Desai has also worked as a legal assistant with judges at the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
