Biography

Quinn Yeargain is an Associate Professor at the Michigan State University College of Law, where he teaches constitutional criminal law. Prior to joining MSU, he was on the faculty at Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Yeargain earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and clerked for Judge Lanier Anderson on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. His scholarship is focused on the intersection of democracy and legal development, particularly concerning state constitutions, their amendments, and how democracy influences state constitutional rights and liberties. Yeargain co-authored the casebook 'State Constitutions: Institutions, Powers, Rights,' published by West Academic Publishing. He frequently participates in national discussions on constitutional law through various media outlets and contributes amicus briefs on state constitutional law issues.
