April Gu is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Business and Society at New York University Stern School of Business. She obtained her undergraduate degree from NYU Stern School of Business and her law degree from NYU School of Law. Her research primarily focuses on the impact of corporate activism on international law and human rights outcomes across various sectors. Before joining the full-time faculty, she served as the Associate Director of the NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights. Gu is a recipient of the Fulbright Fellowship in China and has published works on gender, economic development, and social change. Prior to her academic career at NYU, she worked as an associate in the international law offices in New York and Singapore, where she specialized in financing infrastructure and energy projects in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the United States.
