Biography

Jesse L. Berry, MD is a professor at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, specializing in ophthalmology with a focus on ocular oncology. He holds the Lucy Berle Adams Chair in Cancer Research and serves as the Division Chief of the Ocular Oncology Service. Dr. Berry received his undergraduate medical degree from Harvard University and completed his fellowship training in ophthalmology under mentorship from Linn Murphree, MD at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and USC. His clinical expertise centers on retinoblastoma and uveal melanoma, and he has contributed significantly to the field, notably by pioneering a liquid biopsy technique for retinoblastoma. As a founder of the Women in Ocular Oncology, he is also actively involved in professional societies, including his role as president of the International Society of Ocular Oncology. Dr. Berry's research efforts are well-supported and have received funding from the National Cancer Institute, showcasing his commitment to advancing knowledge and treatment in the field of ocular cancer.
