Saïd Ahzi is a Distinguished Professor currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. With an extensive academic background, he holds several notable positions such as Principal Investigator at the Qatar Environmental Energy Research Institute and Full Professor at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. His research interests are diverse, including multiscale modeling of materials behavior across various categories such as polymers, metals, and biomaterials, as well as materials processing and microstructure-property relationships. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated commitment to education by advising over 35 PhD students and 25 master's students. Saïd received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Materials Science and Mechanics from the University of Metz, and later completed his PhD in the same field. He has received various accolades, including the prestigious Eugene Beltrami Award in 2022 for his contributions to applied mathematics and mechanics.
