Biography

Dr. Mohammad (Moe) Khaleel is currently the Associate Laboratory Director for the Energy Environmental Sciences Division at the U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His role encompasses the oversight of a broad range of research activities aimed at addressing the nation's pressing scientific and technical challenges. In addition to his leadership position at Oak Ridge, Dr. Khaleel has held prominent roles in other research institutions, including Director of the Office of Institutional Planning at the Advanced Research Project Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) and Executive Director of the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute under the Qatar Foundation. His expertise is further demonstrated through his prior role as Laboratory Fellow and Director of the Computational Sciences and Mathematics Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, as well as Co-Director of the Northwest Institute for Advanced Computing at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Khaleel has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Washington State University in Pullman, where he taught various courses and provided guidance to both Master’s and Ph.D. students, as well as Post-Doctoral Fellows.
