Yuke Zhu is an Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Computer Science. He specializes in robot learning, interactive perception, and robot manipulation. His PhD was earned at Stanford University, where his doctoral thesis focused on closing the perception-action loop to make robot intelligence more generalized and applicable in less-controlled environments. Zhu holds dual undergraduate degrees from Zhejiang University and Simon Fraser University. His research centers on developing computational methods for perception and control that lead to intelligent robot behaviors. He is particularly interested in enabling robots to understand and interact with their surrounding visual world. Zhu's work has been recognized through multiple awards, including the Outstanding Paper Award at NeurIPS 2022, the Outstanding Learning Paper Award at ICRA 2022, and the NSF CAREER Award in 2022.
