Biography

Pantea Habibi is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Chicago, where her dissertation focused on lateral asymmetry and its impact on user performance during mid-air input tasks, comparing preferred and non-preferred hand usage. Her research interests lie at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Extended Reality (XR), and human-centered artificial intelligence, with a specific focus on input interaction techniques. Pantea has collaborated on various interdisciplinary projects spanning healthcare, finance, AI explainability, and VR rehabilitation. She specializes in conceptualizing novel interaction techniques, prototyping, and integrating multimodal XR applications, as well as conducting human-subject experiments.
