John Bravman is a distinguished professor of engineering and has served as the 17th president of Bucknell University since July 1, 2010. Under his leadership, the university has achieved significant milestones, including the successful completion of a $500 million fundraising campaign, exceeding its goal with $513 million raised. Bravman presided over the establishment of the Freeman College of Management and spearheaded Plan Bucknell 2025, which outlines a strategic vision for the institution. His commitment to enhancing student experience has led to the creation of interdisciplinary centers that support academic opportunities across various fields. Bravman also emphasizes the importance of academic freedom and expression, fostering a community that welcomes diverse perspectives. In addition to his administrative roles, he chairs the Geisinger Health Board and serves on the NCAA Division I Board of Directors.
