I am Professor of Epidemiology with a primary appointment in the Department of Epidemiology and an affiliated appointment in the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases. I direct the Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics, a center of excellence funded by the Modeling Infectious Disease Agents Study program of the National Institute of Health and the National Institute of General Medical Sciences. I am also the Associate Director of the Interdisciplinary Concentration in Infectious Disease Epidemiology. My work focuses on understanding the dynamics of infectious diseases, and I have contributed significantly to the field through various publications and research initiatives.
