Biography

Dr. Nancy Jo Bush is an Adjunct Professor and Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Program at the Joe C. Wen School of Nursing, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her work focuses on the psychosocial and psychoeducational needs of oncology patients, their families, and caregivers. Dr. Bush's clinical practice addresses key issues such as depression, anxiety, cancer survivorship, and compassion fatigue related to oncology nursing. She also explores post-traumatic stress syndrome related to cancer and the importance of distress screening for patients with cancer. Dr. Bush is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and is recognized as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse by the Oncology Nursing Society. With her extensive background in nursing and clinical psychology, she brings a comprehensive perspective to nursing education and practice. She has been honored with the Mary Nowotny Excellence in Cancer Nursing Education Award from the Oncology Nursing Society, showcasing her commitment to advancing nursing education in oncology.
