Biography

Shaunak D. Bopardikar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Michigan State University. His research interests encompass scalable computation optimization, cyber-physical security, and autonomous motion planning and control. Prior to his current role, he served as a Staff Research Scientist in the Controls group at United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) in East Hartford, CT, USA. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Technology in Computer Aided Design Automation from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, completed in 2004, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Dynamics and Control from the University of California at Santa Barbara, awarded in 2010. Bopardikar has authored numerous publications in esteemed journals and conferences, contributing significantly to the field of robotics and automated systems. His work emphasizes innovative solutions and methodologies in the realm of computational efficiency and safety in autonomous systems.
