Annlouise R. Assaf is a pharmacoepidemiologist and currently serves as the Senior Director of Patient Health Activation at Pfizer Inc's Chief Medical Office. In her role, she collaborates with partners to advance science, inform drug development, and enhance patient health outcomes by implementing evidence-based behavioral principles across diverse literacy levels and cultural contexts. Her commitment to health information equity focuses on improving health literacy for patient-centered medication prescribing, enabling patients to make informed decisions regarding their treatments. Assaf has been instrumental in leading significant clinical trials, including the Women's Health Initiative (WHI), the largest clinical trial ever conducted to study diseases affecting postmenopausal women. She has secured over 55 million dollars in research grants and contracts and has been active in numerous professional societies related to epidemiology and women's health.
