Dr. Daisy Ames

Biography

Daisy Ames is a Design Critic at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She is a founding principal of Studio Ames, an architectural design research practice based in New York City. With an educational background in anthropology and history of art, she brings a unique design sensibility focused on living spaces, climate change, and spatial composition. Her practice has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Young Architects Award from Architect's Newspaper and the Architectural League Prize for Young Architects + Designers. Daisy's work has been exhibited at notable venues such as the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Tallinn Architecture Biennale, and she has presented her findings in published articles that reflect on domesticity and environment. In addition to her role at Harvard, she also teaches design studios at Yale School of Architecture and Princeton School of Architecture.
