Daryl Selen is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and a Clinician Educator at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, specializing in Endocrinology at Women Infants Hospital. He completed his undergraduate studies in Neuroscience at Wellesley College and earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Dr. Selen underwent residency training in Internal Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University and further enhanced his expertise through the Women’s Health Track. He completed his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard University. His clinical focus includes women's endocrine disorders, particularly in the contexts of diabetes during pregnancy, gestational diabetes, and reproductive endocrinology infertility. Dr. Selen provides crucial preconception counseling for women of reproductive age facing endocrine disorders, as well as managing hormonal contraception for conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and menopausal hormonal therapy. His research interests are centered around the epidemiology of gestational and pre-gestational diabetes, with a particular focus on long-term maternal health outcomes and the management of glucose intolerance in pregnancy.
