Jeffry Burchard is an Associate Professor in Practice Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he has taught for over thirteen years. He served as a Design Critic in Architecture from 2012 to 2017 and was appointed Assistant Professor in 2017, reaching the rank of Associate Professor in 2023. Burchard holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the University of Idaho, graduating with distinction in 2008. As a managing partner and design principal at Machado Silvetti, he has led numerous award-winning projects including the Urban Designer for the 21 million square foot Tun Razak Financial District in Kuala Lumpur and the new model campus for Vietnamese-German University in Vietnam. His work has received accolades such as the Honor Award for Design Excellence from the Boston Society of Architects and the 2020 AIA Young Architects Award, highlighting his commitment to excellence in design and education. Burchard regularly reviews student work and participates in professional juries, and his writings have been featured in several architecture publications.
