Dr. Aaron Ames

Professor

Biography

Professor Aaron Ames' research interests are centered on robotics, nonlinear control, hybrid systems, and cyber-physical systems, with a special emphasis on foundational theory and experimental realization of robotic systems. His lab designs, builds, and tests novel bipedal robots and prostheses that achieve human-like bipedal robotic walking, translating capabilities into robotic assistive devices. Professor Ames and his team explore theoretical foundations and practical applications in bipedal robotics, hybrid systems, Zeno behavior, and prosthetic devices.
