Lee H. Riley III is a distinguished Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he also serves as Chief Medical Officer of the Musculoskeletal Service Line and Vice Director of Clinical Operations for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He specializes in the surgical treatment of spinal disorders and injuries. Having received his MD from Johns Hopkins in 1986, he completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery in 1991 and a fellowship in spinal surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1993. Dr. Riley's clinical interests include cervical spine and adult spinal disorders, while his research focuses on disc degeneration, metastatic disease, and vertebroplasty for cervical spine disorders. He has authored and co-authored over 100 scholarly publications in these fields. In addition to his clinical work, he is deeply involved in advancing patient care through research and education, helping to train the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.
