Chinmayi Arun is a Research Scholar and the Executive Director of the Information Society Project at Yale Law School. She is an expert in issues related to law and technology, with a strong focus on the implications of artificial intelligence and data governance on society. Chinmayi's academic journey includes a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (B.A., LL.B.) from the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University of Law, which she completed in 2006. She further pursued her Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2009, and later completed another LL.M. at Yale Law School in 2020. As an advocate for using legal frameworks to address contemporary issues arising from technology, she has taught courses that explore the intersection of language, power, and the law. Throughout her career, Chinmayi has contributed to numerous publications and has been involved in various initiatives aimed at fostering equitable technology practices.
