Biography

Angelina Wang is an Assistant Professor at Cornell Tech in the Department of Information Science, part of the Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science. Her research focuses on responsible AI, exploring the societal impacts of artificial intelligence, evaluation of AI systems, and challenges within fairness metrics in AI systems. Her publications address diverse topics and showcase her findings in several leading conferences in machine learning and computer vision such as ICML and AAAI. Wang's work has been recognized and featured in prominent media outlets including the MIT Technology Review, Vice, Washington Post, and New Scientist. She has been awarded notable honors such as the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program, Rising Stars in EECS, Siebel Scholarship, and Microsoft AI & Society Fellowship. Prior to her current role, she was a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University where she contributed significantly to her field. Wang holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Princeton University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
