Biography

Katherine L. Braner is a Visiting Lecturer at Yale Law School, specializing in public interest law. She serves as the Executive Director of the Arthur Liman Center, where she focuses on issues surrounding imprisonment and advocates for reform within the legal system. Braner holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, earned in 1993, and a B.A. from Bowling Green State University, completed in 1990. She teaches courses that critically examine concepts of imprisonment, including aspects of conception, construction, abolition, and alternatives. Through her extensive work at the Arthur Liman Center, she promotes awareness and solutions for various public interest legal issues, contributing to academic discourse and practical applications of law in society.
