Biography

Todd Stern is a Visiting Lecturer at Yale Law School, where he teaches courses on Global Climate Change: Law and Policy. He served as the United States Special Envoy for Climate Change from 2009 to 2016, during which he led the U.S. negotiating team for the Paris Agreement and was a prominent figure in the Obama administration's climate change strategy. Prior to this role, he held various positions in the Clinton administration, including White House Staff Secretary. He holds a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School (1977) and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College (1973).
