Marc W. Slutzky, MD, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Neurology (Comprehensive Neurology) and Neuroscience at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. He is a general neurologist specializing in headache and stroke recovery. Dr. Slutzky leads translational research focused on neuroprosthetics for stroke recovery and brain-computer interfaces. His work includes functional mapping for neurosurgery and developing innovative interventions for stroke survivors to improve their arm function. He received his PhD and MD from Northwestern University and completed his residency at McGaw Medical Center in Neurology. Dr. Slutzky is actively involved in clinical trials and research projects aimed at enhancing motor recovery following stroke. He is recognized in his field, serving as President of the International Brain Computer Interface Society and holding several fellowships in prominent medical organizations. His contributions extend through editorial board memberships and active participation in professional societies related to neurology and neuroengineering.
