Vijay Singh is a distinguished Professor and Founder at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he serves as the Executive Director of the Integrated Bioprocessing Research Laboratory (IBRL) and holds a key role in the research and development of bioprocessing technologies for corn and biomass. With a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering, Dr. Singh's research focuses on production biofuels, bioproducts, process simulation, and economic analysis. He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed journal articles and holds 14 patents related to corn fractionation and biofuels production. His leadership roles include serving as the Deputy Director of the Center for Advanced Bioenergy and Bioproducts Innovation (CABBI) and participating in various advisory boards. Dr. Singh has received numerous accolades, including the Young Faculty Excellence Award from the Corn Refiners Association and the International Food Engineer Award from the American Society of Agricultural Biological Engineers. He has significantly contributed to advancing renewable products and industrial biotechnology through his extensive research and collaborative projects with industry partners.
