Biography

Gregory Ferrell Lowe is a professor and the director of Executive Education at Northwestern University Qatar. He has a rich background in management within the media industry, focusing on the implications of digital transformation on media management and public service broadcasting. Since founding the RIPE initiative for public service media in 2002, he has served as its continuity director and has been an active member of the leadership team for the International Association of Public Media Researchers. He previously held the presidency of the European Media Management Association from 2012 to 2016 and chaired the World Media Economics Management Conference from 2018 to 2021. Lowe's career spans ten years at the Finnish Broadcasting Company, where he worked as a senior advisor in corporate strategy. Furthermore, he played a significant role in establishing Finland's graduate studies program in media management and economics at the University of Tampere, where he worked from 2008 to 2017. In 2018, he joined Northwestern University Qatar as the director of the communication program and now oversees the Executive Education program.
