Biography

Joshua Ramus is a founding principal of REX, an internationally acclaimed architecture design firm based in New York City. His work redefines architectural paradigms, emphasizing the empowerment of users and communities rather than merely serving as representation. Ramus's portfolio includes the Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center, lauded for its innovative approach to public architecture, and the Lindemann Performing Arts Center at Brown University, which pushes the boundaries of theater design. Ongoing projects include a pair of mixed-use skyscrapers in Perth, Australia, various residential towers in Brooklyn, and hybrid retail-cultural hubs in South Korea. His work on the Seattle Central Library was recognized as a landmark project, illustrating his commitment to advancing architectural types. Ramus has received numerous accolades, including National Honor Awards from the American Institute of Architects.
