Suzanne Lettieri is an Assistant Professor on leave in the Department of Architecture at Cornell University. She is a designer educator and co-principal at the Jefferson Lettieri Office. Her work addresses a range of scales and seeks to bridge the gap between aesthetics and socially conscious design. Lettieri has served as the Michigan-Mellon Design Fellow at the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, where she was the lead instructor for ArcPrep, an immersive pre-college program in Detroit. Additionally, she has taught interior design at the Fashion Institute of Technology where she initiated a pilot program for inclusive recruitment strategies. As a Visiting Critic in the Department of Architecture from 2014 to 2016, Lettieri has also worked with the Office for Metropolitan Architecture, CODA, and Biber Architects. Her work has been exhibited in New York, Detroit, and Boston, and has been published in various journals including Project, the Cornell Journal of Architecture, and Plan Journal. She has been awarded a residency fellowship at MacDowell in Peterborough, New Hampshire, and has received the Graham grant under Kunlé Adeyemi for her upcoming book on African Water Cities. Lettieri has taught at prestigious institutions including Cornell AAP, Harvard GSD, Princeton, and Columbia University.
