Sarah Maree Knuckey is a Clinical Professor at Columbia Law School, where she directs the Human Rights Clinic at the Human Rights Institute. A dedicated human rights advocate, Knuckey collaborates with students and social justice advocates to investigate human rights abuses worldwide and to promote justice and accountability. Her work addresses various issues, including armed conflict, counterterrorism, and the psychological impacts of war. Notably, she has been involved in significant investigations in Brazil, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Yemen, and the United States. Knuckey's advocacy has focused on pressing mental health crises in regions affected by conflict and has led to innovative projects aimed at improving the well-being of activists. She co-founded the Human Rights Methodology Lab to enhance human rights research and the Human Rights Resilience Project, which aims to support the mental health of advocates.
